busy~

I'm finally back home!

On Saturday, I went to eat at Tokyo Hana (it's a conveyor belt sushi place) with my conversation buddy Junichi. It was soooo good. Go try it! The sushi I liked were the tuna, eel, and shrimp ones. After that we went to see Blades of Glory, which was also really really good. There was a part in Japanese too...we were so surprised, lol After the movie, we went to IHOP cause Junichi had never eaten there, and got pancakes and went home.

After getting back to the dorm I slept for three or four hours and then went out again. This time, I went with Jigar, Monica, and my suitemate Rhina to a club called Al-Amir. It was soooo much fun! The music was awesome, the dancing was fun, and the atmosphere was good. After leaving the club, I ate at IHOP again and got back to the dorm at about 5.

I got up at 11 to go to Edgefest and left at about 12:30. Out of the bands that came to Edgefest, I liked Placebo, Papa Roach, Muse, The KillersIt was a ton of fun, but I got a really bad sunburn, hahaWe got back at about 11:30 that night, but I went out again to get sunburn stuff and finally came back at about 1

I was just a little busy this weekend, right? lol

Easter

Since it's Easter on Sunday, I went home on Thursday~

I had fun here...went to a bunch of places to shop and drove around Houston with my brother. We went to the Japanese grocery store and my brother bought pocky. it seems like he liked it, lol

We went to Rice Village and I got some manga in Japanese. I really like one called Druggist...you should read it, lol

there was an Easter egg hunt here, and Serena and Lauryn went and brought back a ton of eggs. Afterwards, we all decorated them, lol. Aren't they cute?

I have an accounting test tomorrow, so I'm gonna end it there ^^

picnic~

even though the weather was really crappy yesterday, today it cleared up!so Megan and Lauryn and I had a picnic. It was fun~ could see a blue sky for the first time in a while, lol

after that, we went back to the dorm, and Lauryn and I watched the Death Note movie. It was soooo cool! L and Light were awesome. We were surprised because the actors in the movie looked a ton like the manga characters, haha

I also watched another Japanese movie called Shoujo....that one was really weird. don't watch it you guys, lol I got it because there were Japanese subtitles on it...that was really helpful! Most of the actors talked in kansai-ben, so it was kind of hard to understand ^^;
I'm off to sleep now~

busy weekend~

this weekend was really busy, but fun ^^

on Friday I went with my conversation buddy Junichi to an MBA "International Party," and got to do stuff like eat food from a bunch of different countries and listen to music...sooo much fun! it was a good chance to meet people from foreign countries.

I went to get my hair cut on Saturday with Lauryn, but it doesn't look too different from usual, lol. just a bit shorter~

after that, we went to a live club called The Curtain Club, which was sooo cool. I think there were four bands there. The last band that played was shooting for a music video, so there's a chance we're gonna be in it ^^

today I went with Lauryn, her conversation buddy Akira, and Akira's girlfriend to a Korean restaurant, and now I love Korean barbeque, lol. but it was sooo spicy, hahaha

those were the three big events that happened, but there were a bunch of other things I did too, like going shopping at the mall and eating out ^^

but I didn't get much of my homework done, so I guess I'll go do that now, haha

San Antonio

how did everyone's break go?

was it fun?

I went with Lauryn and two friends from high school to San Antonio ^^

it was sooo much fun! We went shopping, went sightseeing... I've gone to San Antonio before, but this time was muuuch more fun (the first time I went, I was eight, and got really sick there ^^;)

When we got there on Tuesday, the weather was horrid, but by Wednesday afternoon, it cleared up all of a sudden
it was soo nice seeing the blue sky, lol
it was beautiful on Thursday too

Yesterday, I went to a Japanese restaurant called "Kobe" to meet with a bunch of people and our yearbook advisor from high school and ate a toooon, lol
It's always awesome to have the chance to see people you haven't seen in a while ^^


but time goes by waaay too fast~
I have to go do all my homework now.......

spring break!!

it's finally here!
first time in a long time we get to relax, haha

we're going back to Katy, and then going to San Antonio from Tuesday until Thursday.
I've been before, but this time it's without parents, lol
it'll be interesting ^^

Jigar's still teaching me Hindi! And then Monica's going to show me her Hindi book.

Last week I took two, this week is another two...
I've been doing nothing but studying all day - -"

I've gotten into Hindi and Urdu lately!
They're such interesting languages.
Jigar (a guy I work with) is teaching me Hindi, and I'm teaching him Spanish, lol
language exchange!

If you wanna read a Japanese book, go for Natsume Soseki's "Yume Juuya (Ten Nights of Dreams)"!
It's short, interesting, and easy to understand ^^

I'm gonna play tennis with my friend Bob tomorrow!
I haven't done any sports in a looong time, haha
I've only been doing DDR lately...I've wanted go to the gym, but I haven't had any time
Plus, DDR's more fun! Has everyone done it before?

I'm off to write a philosophy paper...have to write 8 pages (´Д｀；)　waaay too long
